Rule #1:
General Contractors Can Not Buy Their Way Into XP-Dyte Network.
There are a few “list” agencies in our industry that recommend top-reviewed general contractors to homeowners. Many of these agencies have done a fantastic job in hiding the fact that they are simply an advertising platform. The more a company pays the agency, the more chances they have in being recommended to consumers. Unfortunately for the homeowner, agencies such as these may potentially put homeowners at risk. At XP-Dyte, we only recommend contractors we know personally and would trust in our own homes!
XP-Dyte Network Vetting Process
1. Business Standing Violations
- Contractors and their respective companies will be checked for violations such as bankruptcy, criminal activity or legal action cases. Any of these violations disqualify contractors from XP-Dyte Builders Network.
2. Licenses and Insurance
- We require contractors to be licensed and insured as required by the state and/or locality. Although XP-Dyte performs frequent, random audits to ensure contractors are meeting this requirement, it is always recommended that homeowners verify that contractors are licensed and adequately insured.
3. Years in Business
- We require a minimum of 20 years experience in the field before a general contractor can become part of XP-Dyte Builders Network.
4. Fair Pricing
- Contractors in our network must agree to provide our customers with at or below retail pricing in exchange for the many leads contractors receive from XP-Dyte Builders Network.
5. Customer Satisfaction
- A contractor must have an established customer base and references in their area of service.
6. Professionalism & Competence
- We interview current and past customers, and inspect current and past work to ensure the contractor’s quality, workmanship, and professionalism is in line with our standards.
- Negative, unprofessional, and sloppy contractors are not accepted into XP-Dyte Network for obvious reasons. If we don’t want to work with them, chances are neither do you.
XP-Dyte Network Ongoing Vetting Process
1. Random Ongoing Job Site Inspections
- We perform on-site, often unannounced, audits to ensure contractors are keeping the work area properly contained, safe, and organized. We also check the quality of the work being performed and address any potential issues with the contractor immediately.
2. Homeowner check-ins
- We frequently check-in with our customers to make sure our general contractors are performing as expected. Customer satisfaction is a major part of what keeps our contractors in XP-Dyte Builders Network.
